Sorsdam School Project

The Children's Santuary is proud to support the educations of 44 youngsters from a poor part of Sorsdam village, Siem Reap Province. After inquiring about the desire for schooling in the area, we were amazed to find 44 little pupils to be and their parents all keen to start on a journey of learning, with the desire to obtain the major advantage an education can bring a young person in Cambodian. We happily provided uniforms and books, pencils and schoolbags to all comers, and have arranged trips to and from the local school each day on a Khmer tractor.

We have since learned that a further 88 children need assistance as they cannot afford basic materials, but we suspect the number to be much higher as we have only surveyed a small part of the village. With your assistance we would be able to expand this project to the entire village and also replicate it in other extremely poor villages.
